Aims

The anti-corruption strategy of TIS is based on a close dialogue with partners from the private sector, civil society and the public sector. TIS strives for cooperation with all relevant stakeholders in order to fulfil our aim which is to push for introduction and implementation of anti-corruption measures and to increase transparency in the public sector.

TIS focuses on both the central and decentralised (local and regional) government. For more information about our various activities, see sections Projects, Topics and Resources.

The fight against corruption is neither easy, nor cheap and nor it brings immediate results. However, it is necessary in order to uphold democracy and a functioning market economy. Corruption is a serious problem and hence government efforts to curb it are legitimate and we welcome such efforts in Slovakia.

TIS seeks a broad spectrum of associates and allies from various areas. We are working together with experts, schools, universities, media, other NGOs, young people, and international organisations. However, in order to push through system measures, we also seek cooperation with the government, parliament and political parties – both in the government and in the opposition.
