Gabriel Šípoš

Studied economics and politics at the Central European University in Budapest (1996-99), and journalism at Academia Istropolitana Nova in Bratislava (2000/2001). Worked as an analyst for the INEKO institute from 2001, especially on a project to increase professional quality and ethics of the media – the Slovak Press Watch blog. He heads TIS since 2009. Emília Sičáková-Beblavá

Graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava, where she also received her PhD. Took a number of study leaves, e.g. Georgetown University, Yale University and the World Bank. Worked as a researcher in CPHR. From 1998 to 2009 President of Transparency International Slovensko. Currently works as its TIS’s Programme Director and also teaches at the Institute of Public Policy and Economics at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Concentrates on public sector issues – mainly transparency, ethics, corruption and control. |

Pavel Nechala
Law & Regulation Expert |
Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Comenius University in Bratislava. Focuses on conflict of interests, business ethics, access to information, lobbying regulation, judiciary and whistleblowing. Works as an external associate of TIS and coordinates its Advocacy Legal Advice Center (ALAC). He is a founder and works at law firm Nechala & Co. |

Ivan Rončák

Graduated with a masters degree in history and politics from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Comenius in Bratislava. Works as TIS Programme Coordinator. Areas of main interest: public control of the government – particularly at the self-government level, and political journalism. Currently a doctoral student at the Institute of Public Policy and Economics, University of Comenius. |

Tomáš Jacko | Studied politics and international relations (2005-2008) and public administration (2008-2009) at the University of Manchester. Also worked as an intern at TIS (2007), TA3 news channel (2008), Slovak Ministry of Economy (2009), and at Chandler City Hall, Arizona, USA (2011). Works as TIS’s Programme Coordinator since January 2010. He is also a doctoral student at Public Policy and Economics Institute at Comenius University. |

Matej Kurian

Holds a masters degree in politics from the Central European University in Budapest (2009), and a bachelors degree in politics from the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno (2004-2007). Before joining TI Slovakia as a project coordinator he worked for a management consultancy A.T. Kearney (2008-2009), studied in Japan (2007-2008) and worked as an intern for Slovak Governance Institute (2007). |

TIS’s advisory body is the Alliance for transparency and fight against corruption. It suggests topics and areas that TIS should be focusing on, TIS’s long term efforts and people who could be working on the individual activities and who could form ad-hoc specialised working groups. Professor Juraj Stern heads the Alliance.
